TeamPledge text alerts
TeamPledge (teampledge.app) sends text messages on behalf of youth sports teams, schools, and nonprofit organizations that run pledge fundraisers on this site. This is a Mixed messaging program with two separate consent categories.
Promotional fundraising messages: Sent only to friends and family who expressly opt in. These messages come from a participant or their parent and ask the recipient to support one specific fundraiser. They include a kickoff message and up to three reminders while the fundraiser is open — about 3–4 messages per campaign. Recipients opt in by texting JOIN to +1 (615) 212-2637, scanning a QR code, using the web form on our opt-in page, or giving verbal consent to the organizer. This consent is optional and never required to sign up or donate.
Informational transaction messages: Sent only to donors and pledgers who separately request updates about their own transaction at checkout. These include payment confirmations, receipts, and final-result calculations. Checking out with this option does not enroll the donor in promotional fundraising texts.
